• By providing loving structured homes for emotionally distressed children
• By providing the care and routines necessary for them to feel safe and secure
• By taking each moment in a child’s life as a ‘teachable moment’: a chance for them to learn something about trusting relationships
• By seeing that children’s behaviour is a window through which to see and understand their underlying feelings
• By providing a home free of violence, abuse and chaos
• By showing emotionally wounded children ways to heal
• By teaching these children how to have fun, how to laugh, how to be children!

Carpe Diem provides therapeutic foster homes to over 100 children in Ontario.  Private families have opened their doors to children in need, in locations such as Barrie, Collingwood, Pickering, Oshawa, Brampton, Mississauga, Burlington, Hamilton, Brantford, Cambridge, and the Minto Clifford region.
